Our Mission is to follow in our calling of service for the edification of God, and in the uplifting of His children as prompted through the Spirit of Christ.
The Nature of God:
We believe the nature of God is an infinite source of creation, unfathomable to our human plane of existence and who's mysteries can only be revealed through the practice and discernment of the Holy Spirit
The True Church of Christ:
We believe that the true church of Christ is not given of and by a specific man made name, doctrine or origin. But is characterized by those mysteries revealed to us through Christ.
Jesus is known to us as (but is not limited to) being of the head of the body of Christ, as per the teachings of the Holy Bible and other Holy Scriptures and writings.
We believe that the name "Jesus" is of a temporal plane and time of existence of the person of Jesus, but that the name of Christ implies and encompasses a broader understanding than that of a temporal plane or time.
We are Christians who follow guidelines of daily zen meditation and dharma practice, in that they are not counter or detrimental to those things of which Jesus Christ taught, but are complementary elements in living a Christian life.
Zen is not a religion in and of itself, but rather a philosophy of lifestyle practices which are intended to bring peace from the suffering of life.
In our Christian Beliefs, we are taught not to walk after things of the world, or things of fleshly nature.
Romans 12:2 : And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Therefore in Zen-Christianity, Our Zen practices are our means of living a truer, more Christianly life, in our views of the teachings of Christ, Jesus.
Buddha or other Enlightened beings
We believe that all true enlightened beings are of Christ.
The bible is a collection of sacred writings meant as a means of guidance and instructions, as well as documented witness of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe the bible to be divinely inspired of Spirit, but do not believe it to be the only divinely written word of God.
We also believe that through centuries of re-translations, or misrepresentations, some of the original meanings of these ancient texts have been either lost or changed from it's original meanings or intendant purposes, and therefore we are instructed that in the reading of scripture, as well as other teachings or situations pertinent to that of Sacred or Spirit lead knowledge, we are to seek understanding and wisdom through the discernment of Holy Spirit, rather than just to rely on scripture alone.
In their purest, spiritually discerned state of being, we believe the holy scriptures to be an accurate accounting to the existence of and will of our creator in all things.
But not to say these to be the only accountings or divinely inspired writings, as there are others that may have been excluded or undiscovered at the point of collection, that either coincide with or are not counter to the teachings of our church. Thus making them valid sources of our faith as well.
We know in truth that all which is not counter to the nature or will of our creator is a manifestation or product thereof.
Therefore, we practice both an inclusive and progressive ministry, of which we perceive and know as the living will of God, as revealed to us through Divine Spirit.
and He answered them saying who is my mother or my brethren? and He looked round about on them which sat about Him, and said, behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and my mother.
